PHYSICAL THERAPY

Physical Therapy

Dalton Wellness treats patients of all ages with a hands on approach looking at how the body moves and functions to determine what specific imbalances and impairments could be limiting you from functioning at your best.

Our physical therapy model is 1-on-1. This means no assistants, no techs, no other patients, just you and the Physical Therapist. This allows us to spend the time and listen to your needs, educate you on your condition and directly address your goals. This cuts down on your total time spent attending physical therapy and leads to long-lasting change so you don’t have to keeping coming back.

We encourage our patients to take an active role in their physical therapy care. Our patients experience evidence-based techniques for a variety of orthopedic and sports-related conditions. Each patient will undergo a comprehensive evaluation, in which a plan will be created based off the therapist findings.

Some of the evidence-based physical therapy techniques include:

  • Do I need a doctor’s script, referral, or prescription in order to schedule a physical therapy appointment?

No. In the state of Texas, you can see a licensed physical therapist without needing to see your doctor first. You can be evaluated by a physical therapist and be seen for 10 consecutive business days. The ability to see a doctor of physical therapy without needing a referral could be the difference in how quickly you are able to recover. Should you need further care after either 10 consecutive business days, a physician’s referral will need to be obtained to continue skilled physical therapy.

    Do you take my insurance?

Here at Dalton Wellness Consulting, Inc., we do not directly bill insurance. We are a fee-for-service practice. What does this mean? Clients will pay for their treatment at time of service and we will provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Although we can’t guarantee that you will get reimbursed by your insurance, the majority of clients with out of network benefits should receive reimbursement.

    Do you take FSA/HSA payments?

Yes, physical therapy is a covered expense for your FSA or HSA plan. We also accept cash, checks, and credit cards.

    How does the Neubie work?

The Neubie is a patented and FDA-cleared electrical stimulation device. It is intended for uses like treating pain, increasing blood flow, increasing range of motion, reducing spasms, and neuromuscular re-education, all of which can help enhance recovery from pain and injury. Part of what makes the Neubie different from traditional electrical stimulation devices is the use of direct current (as opposed to alternating current) and the unique effects that has on the human body.

    What should I wear?

Loose fitting clothing or gym attire such as shorts, tights and sports bra.
